-Get a\u00a0Programmable Thermostat<\/em> – You can buy them for $20 – $30 in Grand Rapids, and save that much in a month or two on your heating bill.
\n–Turn Down your Water Heater <\/em>– Many units are automatically set\u00a0to the highest temperature, which you may never need. \u00a0Turn it down, and save on heating. Free!
\n-Buy\u00a0Water Heater\/Pipe Insulation <\/em>– For about $30, you can drastically reduce the amount of heat needed to keep your showers warm.
\n–Re-Caulk Windows and Doors <\/em>– A lot of heating\/cooling is lost around windows and doors. \u00a0Re-seal them for better heat retention.
\n-Get\u00a0Alternate Light Bulbs <\/em>– As your bulbs burn out, replace them with more efficient ones. The price of better bulbs has definitely come down in the last year or so.<\/p>\n
